One for the enthusiasts here, we have something that's certainly a rare sight on UK roads these days, a 1999 Renault Safrane. The bodywork condition of this car is good for the age, with the metallic blue paintwork having benefitted from a recent polish and trim dressing, and there's only some very minor bubbling on the arch edges in terms of exterior rust. There are some small age-related scuffs and scratches, but these are minor and the car remains in overall good condition, as mentioned. 
 
Moving inside, the interior is in great condition, with the large, plush seats feeling exactly as you'd expect in a French luxury saloon, helping to make the overall experience very comfortable. Being an Executive model, this car benefits from cruise control, climate control, various levels of seat adjustment and a talking system computer, all of which work as they should. The gauge cluster has recently been taken apart and refreshed, so the dials all work properly, but the odometer button does need to be held down to read the mileage display. 
 
Mechanically the car is in great order, driving very well and is backed up by plenty of service history and workshop manuals. In addition to the recent service, gearbox service and replacement thermostat mentioned above, the Safrane has recenltly had a new stainless steel exhaust rear section fabricated, and four brand new Kumho tyres. The Volvo 5-cylinder engine starts keenly and pulls well, and a replacement cambelt was fitted in 2021. The Aisin 4-speed gearbox changes gear as it should, and is known for being a more reliable unit than the Renault-made automatic gearbox that pre-facelift cars were supplied with.
