The Jaguar XJ is a car that speaks for itself, offering class and refinement at a fraction of the cost of other luxury saloons of the era. This Executive-trim car, in Carnival Red, presents well at first glance when it comes to the bodywork, with the machine polished paintwork presenting well for the most part. There is a patch of lacquer peel on the front off-side wing, and some bubbling to the ends of both sills, but aside from that and some age-related marks, the condition is overall good. 
 
On the inside, things are in a very fine state of affair, with all the electronics working as they should and the seats, dashboard, carpets and switchgear all in good condition, with only some middling bolster wear to the drivers seat. The headlining has been replaced so the common sagging issue is not present, and the surfaces all present well, as mentioned. Being an Executive, this XJ6 benefits from a full leather interior and climate control as standard. 
 
Mechanically, the story is very much the same, with there being a reasonable amount of service history present, and some recent mechanical preparation having been carried out prior to sale, including an engine oil and filter change, renewal of the air filter, replacement of all six coil packs and spark plugs, installation of a new thermostat and a coolant change. All four tyres carry plenty of tread and the car drives well, with no untoward knocks or bangs, with the automatic gearbox also operating normally.
